Country Day Preschool & Mission Statement
Our Mission Statement:
Our hope for children is that they will move through life with the grace and dignity that comes from having been cherished.

Our Philosophy:
The Hazelwild Farm Educational Foundation is located on an ancestral homestead. Ms. A. Elizabeth Morrison established this non-profit foundation to continue her lifelong career of education and care for young children. The foundation and its board are responsible for the operation of the school and a summer camp program. These programs have been in continous operaton since 1960. Children who attend any of our programs have an opportunity to observe farm life and learn in an operating farm environment.
While the school is licensed by the Social Services Department as a Day Care Center, we like to consider ourselves a little more. We offer a structured learning program with frequent periods of relaxation and coordinated activities geared to the age and ability of the individual child.

The Teaching Staff
Our teaching staff is professionally prepared with experience in both public and private schools. All of the teachers have extensive training in the field of early childhood education and child development. Every member of the staff carries on our school philosophy and treats each child with care and respect. We invite you to make an appointment to visit our facilities and meet our staff. We strive for the harmonious development of your child in a stimulating but relaxed atmosphere, with a wholesome outdoor setting away from the hustle and bustle of the city yet within a few minutes drive from the city.
