Hazelwild AIRC Riding Team
Hazelwild participates in the American Interschool Riding Competition. AIRC provides a friendly and instructional riding competition between students of member riding schools during the winter season, and encourages and promotes team sportsmanship.
Very similar to the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association competition program (Hazelwild hosts the University of Mary Washington Riding Team), in many ways the AIRC complements the IHSA by offering equestrian team competition to pre-college riders. Like the IHSA, AIRC teams compete in Equitation at member riding schools using horses provided by each host school. AIRC also offers a Scholarship Program for graduating High School Senior members.
