Community

Hazelwild Farm offers a fall and spring community lesson series. This consists of a ten week group lesson program with a horse show at the end of the session.  The horse show is exclusively offered to the students in the community program and no special show attire is necessary.  The students ride once a week for one hour.  We teach horse safety as well as riding, therefore, students are expected to learn all aspects of grooming, tacking, and riding. For the lower level lessons helpers are present to assist the students with tacking and un-tacking their horses.  Students are responsible for tacking and un-tacking their own horse, as this part of their learning experience.

Summer Community

Because the summer is such a busy season, we offer one hour group lessons at various times in the week.  These lessons do not come in a package to accommodate everyone's busy schedule.  You may sign up for the lessons that best suit your particular schedule, and you are not limited to the number of lessons you may ride in each week.  This open schedule allows all students the opportunity to ride throughout the entire summer, and allows them to ride as much or as little as possible.

Appointment Lessons

These one hour group lessons allow the student to ride either their own horse or a school horse.  The appointment lessons focus on horse show students and is a faster-paced environment.  In order to participate in appointment lessons we prefer students be jumping and ready for the show ring at any level.  Adults do have the option of either participating in appointment lessons or the community riding program.
