Hazelwild Summer Camp, licensed by the Virginia Department of Social Services, offers a vast array of camp activities. The program is a highly respected children's summer camp, bustling with character-building activities, fun, games and sports, many of which have been camper inspired.
"Farm-Family-Home-Atmosphere" is our slogan. Every Hazelwild camper is treated as an individual and is given the personal attention he or she deserves.
The program does not place a great deal of emphasis on competition among campers; instead it stresses individual progress and development. This practice promotes growth in self-reliance and self-confidence for campers to carry with them for a lifetime.
The Hazelwild Summer Camp program is designed for children who are completing their 3-year old programs at Hazelwild, or children 4-years old through children going into the 6th grade. Our Camp runs in one-week increments
Camp classes are scheduled according to these groups:
3s, 4s, and Kindergarten - Little Camp
1st through 6th grades - Big Camp
Little Camp will offer both full and half day weekly session. Activities include pony rides, swimming lessons, arts and crafts, story time, movement class and a lot of outdoor fun. Please provide your child's morning snack.
Big Campers will be grouped by grade level. Activities will include: arts and crafts, cooking, indoor games, mountain biking, movement and gymnastics, nature adventure, rollerblading, sports and swimming.
Advanced registration is required with a complete application and non-refundable deposit of $15 per session. Early drop-off fees should also be included. Our enrollment is limited and early registration is suggested.
Every camper must also have a complete and up-to-date file including: application form, deposit, and physical and immunization forms plus proof of birth (birth certificate).
