Teresa began riding at Hazelwild Farm with Ms. Morrison when she was 5 years old. She has been here ever since! Her show career began in 1992, and Teresa was successful at the local level, including some “A” shows.
Teresa graduated from Mary Washington College in 1999 with a B.S in Biology. During her time at MWC, she showed on the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) team all four years. In 1998, Teresa went to IHSA Nationals and placed 3rd
After graduation, Teresa was employed by Hazelwild Farm as a trainer and a barn manager. She became the Assistant Equine Director in 2005. In August of 2009, Teresa took over the role of Equine Director as well as the Head Coach for the University of Mary Washington Equestrian team.
Teresa has been married for 11 years. She and her husband share their home with their two Jack Russell Terriers, Chip and Lexi.
